Error Codes & Troubleshooting

  • This error message is usually caused by a corrupted or missing XML file.

    Uninstall the A2D2 software

    Delete the installation folder the software was installed in

    Reinstall the software to a different location than the default.

    This should resolve the corrupt path/XML issue.

  • This typically happens when there is a windows updates that puts the A2D2 software in remote viewing mode.

    To put the software back into acquisition mode do the following:

    1. Close the A2D2 Software
    2. Hold down the shift key on your keyboard
    3. While shift is pressed open the A2D2 software
    4. A dialogue box should appear asking you if you want acquisition mode
    5. Select Yes
    6. Your software should now be in acquisition mode.

  • When you see a folder directory instead of a patient name in the select patient box:
    (This means there is no .dat file for that patient. )

    Open that patient and use the Enter or Edit patient info under the file tab: Example Image‍ ‍
    This will create the .dat folder and then the next time you go to open that patient it will be listed by name.

  • This generally occurs when the imager is not being detected by the Ann Arbor Digital Devices Software.

    Is the A2D2 Software is up to date?
    If not try updating the latest version compatible with your system.

    Can you access the imager through File Explorer or "My Computer"?
    This will help determine if the issue is hardware or software based.

    If that the troubleshooting pdf doesn't work then inspect the wires for any damage, kinks or cuts that could be preventing communication.

    (If the issue is occuring on a model 128s check the power adapter, the black box, for any loose connections or rattling noises)

    Should damaged wires be the cause you may send an email to us for a repair quote by clicking the Contact Us button in the top right.

  • This typically occurs when the .net framework hasn't been installed or software installation failure.

    First try uninstall the A2D2 software remember to use the windows add/remove programs then delete the installation directory

    Then reinstall the software into a different directory. This helps reduce any misconfiguration issues from reoccurring.

    If the issue still exists you can try a different version (version 10.5.5 will install the correct .net as part of the installation process) or you can download and install the missing version as well.

    Typically the correct version of the .net is automatically downloaded by windows when installing and running the A2D2 software the 1st time.

  • Below is the most common reasons for the error message 8195:

    1) Cannot communicate with primary path location. This means the location is not authorized or properly shared.

    Changing A2D2 Permissions

    Changing the default directory

    2) The primary storage location is full. (do one of the following)

    *Make temprty space by emptying the c:\a2d2_data folder ‍
    *Move xrays to external or NAS (Network-attached storage) system.

    3) Wrong software version.
    If you are using newer image with old software it may be unable to communicate with the imager.
    You can contact us for a different version of the A2D2 software.
