About this policy

Creative Technical & IT Solutions, LLC ("CTI," "we," "us," or "our") provides the CTI Network Scope Android application.

CTI Network Scope is designed to inspect a local network from the user's Android device. The app does not require a CTI account and does not include advertising or analytics.

CTI does not collect or receive the network scan results, saved audit history, or saved SMB credentials generated through the app.

Information processed by the app

To provide its functions, CTI Network Scope may process the following information on the user's device:

Local network information, including the device's local IP address, network range, gateway, and Wi-Fi name when permission is granted.
Local device and service information observed during an authorized scan, such as IP addresses, host names, device categories, open network services, and related scan evidence.
Audit history saved locally for comparison with later scans.
SMB user names, passwords, and domains that the user deliberately chooses to save.
Files or file metadata that the user deliberately views, saves, or shares through supported local-network actions.

How information is used

This information is used only to provide network discovery, device review, audit comparison, and user-requested connection or file actions.

Network scanning is performed locally from the Android device. CTI Network Scope does not send scan results or saved credentials to CTI.

Storage and security

Audit history is stored in the app's private storage on the Android device.

Saved SMB credentials are encrypted using AES-GCM with a key protected by the Android Keystore.

Temporary file copies may be created when the user requests a save, open, or share action.

No method of storage is completely secure. Users remain responsible for securing their Android device and for using appropriate credentials and network permissions.

Sharing and third-party apps

CTI Network Scope does not sell personal information and does not share app data with CTI advertising or analytics partners.

When a user deliberately opens a web address or launches a compatible SSH, RDP, VNC, SMB, browser, or sharing application, that separate application and its provider may process information under their own terms and privacy policy.

Permissions

Depending on the Android version and features used, CTI Network Scope may request nearby-device, Wi-Fi, location, network-state, internet, or local-network permissions.

These permissions support local network discovery and related actions. Location permission is used only on older Android versions where the operating system requires it to access Wi-Fi information.

CTI Network Scope does not collect or transmit precise location to CTI.

Data retention and deletion

Audit history remains on the device until the user clears it, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app.

Saved SMB credentials can be removed in the app and are also removed when app storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled.

CTI cannot retrieve or delete this local data remotely because CTI does not receive it.

Children

CTI Network Scope is a technical utility intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

Authorized use

Users must scan only networks and devices they own or are explicitly authorized to inspect.

CTI Network Scope provides observable technical information and does not guarantee that a network or device is secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
